June 25 Review: Woodstock IL
DCM
Thanks to Andy Dittrich for emailing his review to reviews@scorpsboard.com!

A small show, an early end, yet some great performances and entertaining shows by all 5 corps.

Racine Scouts 24.50   (?? Brass/?? Percussion/?? Color Guard)
Didn't get to see them today, heard them a little from the sideline before we came on. I was entertained by their show in Racine last week, and since I was on the sideline, I can't really say much for improvement because I didn't see them. Drumline sounding better, from what I could tell, hornline too. Mellophone soloist impressed me, again!

Capital Sound 51.60  (?? Brass/?? Percussion/?? Color Guard)
Yep, I like my own show. Fun to play. Someone else should review us, cause we like hearing what fans have to say.

Kilties Sr. 38.45   (?? Brass/?? Percussion/?? Color Guard)
Wow! So much better than last week. The visual show has really cleaned up quite a bit, but still needs work. Hornline sounds so much better. They do however need drummers, and guard members. If you aren't marching a corps, go to Kilties and march a drum or a flag. That would easily put them in DCM finals and with more work, DCA finals.

Southwind 61.30  (?? Brass/?? Percussion/?? Color Guard)
Much different style show from last year. I was suprised by Southwind tonight. The drumline has really improved from last year, and overall the corps has gotten better. I can't wait to see them again in Racine.

Madison Scouts 71.25   (?? Brass/?? Percussion/?? Color Guard)
Saw them from backfield lining up for finale. I liked them before, so I'm sure they had a good show and the crowd reaction seemed to show it.

Finale was really cool. Especially for me. All of the MDBCA corps drumlines played on together. 20 snares, 12 tenors, 15 bass drums. Incredible!!! Except for when they called parade rest and I went to dress center, that was less incredible. Thank you Scouts and Southwind, and my friends in Capital Sound, for giving me an experience that I will never forget.

Thanks, and someone please finish the review, as I didn't see everyones full show.
