Thanks to J Laning for directly emailing this review to us! July 20, 1996 - Sharon Hill, PA. - GSC The show got off to a late start, but the cool afternoon kept everyone happy. Division IV Bracken Cavaliers - They have a long way to go. They are a young corps but it is ggod to see and old corps revived. Division III First Defenders - It was their first show in division III. They have some drill to their show. Very small corps. Percussion is the strong point of their corps. They have the potential and could be strong next season with a little recruiting. William G. Lucas Rhythm Nation - Corps is better than last year. Percussion also is a strong point for this corps. Quest - Corps showed up two hours late. They went on last. They seemed off, maybe because they had just jumped off a bus 20 minutes before after an eight hour ride. Illusion (host) - Small corps but that doesn't stop them. Great Baritone solo. During the percussion feature all the horn members are playing percussion except one. She is in the guard at that time. Phoenix (NJ) - Great improvement since their begining. They try to produce entertainig shows. This one was. The have a REALLY young girl in their guard. She is entertainment herself. During the show she jumps on the majors stand and starts dancing. Division II Spirit of Newark - Strong percusion and some cool drill moves. Kips Bay Knight Club - Show wasn't as entergetic and entertaining as last year. Good percusion and horns. Good show overall except for the delays. I did overhear in the stands that a new corps is getting started however, I don't know where its from or its name. Sorry!:(
