Thanks to Butch Kolosso on ramd for this review!

Decorah Kilties on first, nice to see a corps back in the area....the
kids are very very very young. They attempted some extremely hard drill
for kids this young. It didn't work, but lots of potential if the kids
stick with this corps. Great showing for their first show ever!

Marquis from Fond du Lac. Intriguing show with African theme (ie Robert
Smith....Magic '94) Looks like a promising show for them in division
III.

Blue Star's show was Appalachian Spring. Nice show. Blue Star will be in
the hunt in division III as usual. Color guard has some nice work, but
is a fairly young guard for the Blue team. It will be nice to see what
their book ends up looking like.

Capital Sound blew me away. I was expecting them to be much younger.
Some pretty sophisticated stuff going on out on the field. Was
particularly impressed with the rifle line ( i.e. toss from field level
up to a member on top of a ladder. Horn line sounded really nice. They
should do well this year.

Pioneer was awesome. They truly have an open class horn line, they
scored a 57, so all the talk about them needing to move up is absolutely
100 percent correct. How many division II rings do you need?

Americanos have an intriguing show that will fill out as soon as all
members are in Appleton. They do need to use a drum major this year as
the battery and the horn line lost each other a lot. The color guard is
big, very young, but a lot of raw talent which will be utilized. Show
was very South Beach...Gloria Estefan.

Colts.....WOW!!!! this is the Colts... very sophisticated show. Horn
book, drill, etc.etc....the best color guard I have ever seen the Colts
put on a field. Movement is the key word here.

Madison Scouts.......need I say more....I was totally spent after their
performance. The crowd was up and down thru the whole show. Horn line
blew me away. Should be in contention this year. Malaguena was
absolutely stunning, Bolero was the real show stealer for me though as
Malaguena has been my favorite song to put on a field since I can
remember. Percussion section....HOT. Color Guard....HOT. Nice
performance and scored in the 70's first show out.... Yahoo!
